How can I help you?
Bowen Therapy and Health Coaching
Bowen Therapy - People and Dogs
Bowen Therapy is a gentle hands-on relaxation technique to balance the mind, body, and soul. I work with people and canines of all ages.
How does Bowen Therapy affect the body?
The nervous system is constantly monitoring its environment, responding to a complex array of input. Bowen Therapy includes periods of waiting time throughout the session, generally two minutes between each set of moves, to allow the body more time to respond. This element of allowing the body to rest for a few minutes is important as it initiates the process of repair. The length of the breaks varies from client to client and with different procedures. The waiting times and the limited, yet precise moves made on the body, ensure the nervous system is not overwhelmed and therefore can hone in on what changes need to be made towards health and well-being. Dogs respond well to Bowen Therapy, especially anxious pups who find it difficult to relax.
Main benefits for people and dogs include:
• Balance mind, body, and soul
• Reduce stress and anxiety
• Alleviate low-back pain and improve range of motion
• Enhance immunity by stimulating lymph flow
• Strengthen and relieve weak or tight muscles
• Help athletes of any level, prepare for, and recover from, strenuous workouts
• Increase joint flexibility
• Promote tissue regeneration, reducing scar tissue, alleviate scar tissue restriction
• Reduce post-surgery adhesion's and swelling
• Reduce spasms and cramping
• Chronic fatigue syndrome
• Carpal tunnel syndrome
These are just a few conditions that respond positively to treatments.

Start with the Dr. Sears Traffic Light Eating workshop and get a good understanding of L.E.A.N. Lifestyle, Exercise, Attitude, and Nutrition. Which area are you struggling with?
Next, there is nothing more shocking than going through your pantry and discovering a whole host of damaging food additives --- substances added to food to enhance its flavor, appearance, or to preserve it! The majority of which can damage vital organs and kill your microbiome, causing dysbiosis and inflammation. Dysbiosis and inflammation may also be the reasons why you feel sluggish, have lank hair, and dry skin, and are not able to lose weight.
After purging your pantry, it's time for a fun shopping trip to select healthy alternatives.
You are in charge of your own health decisions. I will listen to your feelings and obstacles, and we will form a collaborative, goal-orientated relationship based on your specific needs.
I hold a professional certification as a Master Certified Health and Wellness Coach through the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute.
